As a carer your role is to work as part of the care team delivering care which is person centred, meets residents’ needs, reflects their choices and preferences and respects their privacy and dignity.
Under direction/supervision from senior care staff/senior management team you will support residents and ensure their individual needs are met/are being met.
You will always take action to report any concerns regarding resident health/wellbeing or safety to senior care staff/senior management team to promote resident health and wellbeing.
You will contribute to the team effort and maintain a positive working culture in the home.
As a senior carer your role is to support the manager/deputy manager in all aspects of the home’s management, including taking temporary charge during the absence of the manager/deputy manager/senior team leader.

You will act as a lead and/or champion (e.g. dining experience lead, infection control lead, medication champion, staff champion etc.) in the home for the benefit of residents.
You will work closely with the manager/deputy manager/nominated individual to ensure that the home adheres to all policy/procedure/regulations.
You will contribute to the team effort and maintain a positive working culture in the home.
