Role Summury:

As a carer your role is to work as part of the care team delivering care which is person centred, meets residents’ needs, reflects their choices and preferences and respects their privacy and dignity.
Under direction/supervision from senior care staff/senior management team you will support residents and ensure their individual needs are met/are being met.
You will always take action to report any concerns regarding resident health/wellbeing or safety to senior care staff/senior management team to promote resident health and wellbeing.
You will contribute to the team effort and maintain a positive working culture in the home.

To prepare nutritional, appetising and well-presented meals for care home residents and staff.
To be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen and ensure compliance with all health and safety and food hygiene requirements.

To maintain a clean and safe home environment for residents, staff and visitors.
Cleaning all areas in the home to maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, infection prevention/control and home presentation.
Assisting with laundry services to ensure residents have clean clothing/bedding/towels etc which is ironed when necessary.
To respect all residents as individuals and communicate with them/staff and visitors effectively.

As a senior carer your role is to support the manager/deputy manager in all aspects of the home’s management, including taking temporary charge during the absence of the manager/deputy manager/senior team leader.
You will work as part of the care team ensuring that the delivery of care is person centred, meets residents’ needs, reflects their choices and preferences and respects their privacy and dignity.
You will support and monitor staff to ensure that residents’ needs are met/are being met.
You will always take action to report any concerns regarding resident health/wellbeing or safety and liaise with relevant parties.
You will contribute to the team effort and maintain a positive working culture in the home.

You will work as part of the care team ensuring that care is person centred, meets residents’ needs, reflects their choices and preferences and respects their privacy and dignity.
You will support and monitor all staff to ensure that residents’ needs are met/are being met.
You will always take action to report any concerns regarding resident health/wellbeing or safety and liaise with relevant parties.
You will act as a lead and/or champion (e.g. dining experience lead, infection control lead, medication champion, staff champion etc.) in the home for the benefit of residents.
You will work closely with the manager/deputy manager/nominated individual to ensure that the home adheres to all policy/procedure/regulations.
You will contribute to the team effort and maintain a positive working culture in the home.
