Free time and Relaxation
At Sapphire Court we shy away from offering a set programme of daily activities each week because Sapphire Court is your home, and we prefer you to choose what you would like to do each day. You might like to take a trip down Cold Bath Road, go to church, go shopping, play cards or scrabble, watch tv, read the newspaper, knit, sew or crochet. However, we have three main activities which you can participate in if you wish and these are as follows:
Gardening Club
In the warmer weather we ask our residents if they would like to help out with our gardening club in growing flowers, plants and some of our own produce such as tomatoes, courgettes, peas, beans and herbs.
Cooking/Baking Club
Every week we ask our residents if they would like to bake or cook as we know that this can be a rewarding and relaxing way (for some!) to spend their time.
Film Club
One of our lounges has a large TV screen which is ideal for watching films. We show a different film on a set day each week at which we hope to deliver a cinema experience by offering popcorn, ice cream and hot dogs.
Whatever your interests we will do our best to ensure that you continue these at Sapphire Court. At the monthly residents’ meeting you can tell us what you are interested in and if you would like us to organise a group activity/event or something on a one to one basis. At Sapphire Court there will always be something to do, someone to talk to, and someone to listen
